Ruth Jacobs, Chairperson
Ruth Jacobs, Chairperson; Mrs. Jacobs has served on the Board of Commissioners since 1998.Mrs. Jacobs and her family have been residents of Hartsdale for over 50 years.Until her retirement, Mrs. Jacobs was the Director of the Yonkers Training Center with WARC (Westchester Association for Retarded Citizens).She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Lois Bronz Childrens Center (formerly the Union Child Day Care Center) for over 20 years.She and her husband have a combined volunteer service to the Town of Greenburgh in excess of 50 years.
Myrna T. Anover Myrna Anover, Treasurer;Ms. Anover has served on the Board of Commissioners since 2000.She has been a resident of Hartsdale for over 30 years.Ms. Anover works for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs; she provides support to the Secretary General’s High Level Task Force on the Global Food Security Crisis.Prior to her current duties at the UN, she has been involved with procurement, management of international infrastructure projects, preparation and execution of budgets, public relations, just to name just a few.She is a member of the National Association of Female Executives, Asian Women in Business, Honorary Board Member of the Mayi Theatre Group, former volunteer of the Blythedale Children’s Hospital and former member of Rotary International.
Barbara Groden
Barbara Groden, Secretary;Mrs. Groden has served on the Board of Commissioners since 2001.She has been a resident of the Town of Greenburgh since 1954.Mrs. Groden is President of West-Ex Associates, Inc., a Residential and Commercial Management and Consulting service located on East Hartsdale Avenue.Mrs. Groden and her husband volunteer their time on various Town and community boards and committees.
Commissioners serve as volunteers and are not compensated for their time and service to the District.
